Currencies

• The base is the Lebanese pound. The rate a business works at is its own choice: the training company runs at 90,000 LBP per USD from 2026, where the official rate on record was 89,500.
• LBP and USD are linked: set either and the other follows.
• Every other currency is rated against the LBP base and stays independent. Example: AED = 90,000 / 3.75 = 24,000 LBP.
• Rates are dated and kept as a history, never overwritten, a 2016 document still converts at the 2016 rate.

Cash structure (accounts 53x)

53 Cash ships with three children, and a business builds the rest underneath them:

Grand cash: is the main box. what you collect from clients and pay suppliers out of, and where the day's till goes when the cashier closes.

Petty cash: is the money in the secretary's hand for small invoices the electricity bill that turns up on the day.

POS cash: is a till per terminal.

Cash van: is the float a salesman carries on the road.

The PID rule

The test is one question: can this business ever have more than one of them?

One POS terminal today, three next year ... yes. More than one van on the road ... yes. More than one safe, the accountant's and the manager's ... yes. Those get a PID, so a single account can carry a separate record for each one. Grand cash and petty cash are single by nature, so they do not.
